Default c5/ ls3 head swap question

I'm building an iron block 6.0 for my c5.

I bought a rolling chassis, and it did not come with any thing engine related. Will the c5 ls1 serpentine setup work with ls3 heads and intake. Also, will the c5 oil pan work with this block?

So are you gonna bore and stroke it into a 408?

I think he is doing a 6.0 Truck motor (Iron Block) swap into his vette with LS3 top end. Dont think he is talking about bore/stroker setup.

Is your C5 Oil pan you plan on using a 1 piece or 2 piece batwing pan?

I would also look at other options for more clearance in the oil pan. Dont quote me but IIRC the C6 LS2 oil pan will bolt up and doesnt have the "Bat Wing" design like the C5 LS pans. Others here have done the swap so you might search around to see what fits. I dont know if the LS3 headers will have fit issues with the batwing pans..

Oh excellent information. I apreciate that. To be honest, I do not know what pan came in this car, I am pretty sure it was the batwing pan assuming that is what comes in them factory. Its a 98 C5, not a z06.

No, unfortunatly not. Its not going to be necessary, just going to be a daily driver cruiser that will be fun to drive.
