Umm, 750+ hp and 1800+ lb ft from truck. Still manage to pull 20 to the gallon on the highway, be fully streetable, and reliable. On the vette. Hell, until my dad gets off his lazy butt (actually, someone put a big crack in the windshield and it is costing $800 to replace. something about HUD display), I'm going to have to be happy with stock. But, if I had my chance, 600+. Or maybe, if I had the money, Lingenfelter? I'd be happy with that car. A TT 427 that does 0-60 in 1.97 sec and the 1/4 in like 9.2-3 and still pulls 20 to the gallon through a A4? That would be JUST right.
I have a dream
of an LPE C5-R block and heads 427TT -- WELL over 600 rwhp, idle smooth, totally street-legal . . .
 :yesnod:  :smash: :smash:   :nono: :flag :seeya
I would like to see an even 500rwhp. Peach is not kidding 450rwhp I spin thru 3rd  but just got some Nitto 555R drag tires and hope it helps wish me luck. ;)
I was thinking about this and starting comparing them to women's breasts, you know more than a handfull is a waste type mentality, but really you want Anna Nicole Smiths.
Anyway, I don't know how many people have ridden in a car that has 500/500 RWHP/RWTQ +/- 20. Traction does become an issue and you have to relearn how to drive the car. I voted 500 RWHP but really see my car between 550-600 soon...I guess it is just an added precaution. :D
I am just getting used to mine now but am definitely ready to play with the nitrous. Power still needs to be put to the ground ... at some point a street car with big power is almost useless.

I guess I'll get there and back off a bit! :D
yeah ... I think that I am sort of happy that I voted 350RWHP ... at least until 400RWHP its streetable ...
Bill I agree, reminds me of another philosophy to quote Eddie Van Halen "I just turn everything up and back it off 1" talking about his amplifier settings and the "Brown Sound".
And Newvettelover..I don't know if you were kidding but just to tell you from experience 400 RWHP is very streetable and almost tame compared to cars with 500 RWHP. At 470+ RWHP, one has to learn to drive the car differently and WOT in the first couple of gears....well...forget about it on street tires.
I think that there is a limit to the madness ... for a C5 ... which is driven often compared to a weekend warrior ...
My dad's weekend warrior 427 C5 is around 460RWHP ... and its pretty insane ... but his second C5 is pretty much stock because he/or me , drive it daily ...
Nitto needs to get off their butt and make a 305/35/18 Drag radial so that we can increase these numbers. Pre break-in my car is making 411rwhp through a Yank 3000 and I'm a little worried about tire spin through 2nd gear, car should be home in a week, we'll see what happens.
