It's the LEDs. I had all kinds of weird stuff happen with LED brake lights. No problem with switchback LED DRLs, but I gave up on the LED brake lights. Too much crazy stuff (DIC dimming, DRLs going out with brake pedal depressed, etc.)

ok guys, I'll switch back to the stock bulbs and see what happens, crazy though it didn't happen right away, wonder what causes it.
I never had good reception in mine, LED's made it worse.
I installed several "guaranteed" antennas with boosters and such.
I even temporally mounted a normal one in the hatch area.
My best luck was a FIN type that looks like the antenna on some navigation or onstar units systems in some cars.
I finally gave up and found a great solution.
A head unit with Bluetooth, an Iphone with unlimited data plan and several streaming online stations or apps. I can listen to all local stations plus comedy stations, old time radio serial stories, news from around the world and almost anything a satellite radio would pick up. all free sans the data I already pay for.
I am almost ready to go with a head unit that has built in WIFI and windows mobile and use my phone as a wifi hotspot. I saw one in use and it would stream HULU, youtube, and netflix on a 7 inch poop out single din head unit.
Plus it has built in navigation and external camera inputs.
