C5 Constant Horn Beep
It wasn't Santa on the roof!
At 4AM on 12/26/13, my 2000 C5, which was sitting in the driveway, decided it wanted to sound off with a continuous horn beep.
I'm not sure if this was in protest over several months of being ignored ( I've been helping my daughter remodel her house for the last several months.) Before I opened the hood and disconnected the battery cable, I tried to start it with a key to my GMC Envoy. After I realized it was the wrong key I tried the correct key and car would not start, so went for the battery cable.
My security setting were set to have lights blink and horn NOT to sound. This I believe is another issue. Anybody experience this or know what's going on? I keep the battery on a trickle charger and do run the engine to get it operating temps during the last several months.

Your problem is likely the horn membrane switch. Both summer heat and winter cold cause the problem.
