Re: Paging Nick (ARE) Time to ante up... (ScreaminDemon)
You guys really shouldn't put stuff like this on the Forum. It's like all the Vendors - Tuners are being blackmailed into jumping every time someone wants something. If , after exhausting other avenues, things don't work out, then by all means post and let all of us know who's not doing what. Many of us are just so overwhelmed with e mails and work that it takes a while. Please give us all a break. Nick is one of the "good" guys.
Re: Paging Nick (ARE) Time to ante up... (ScreaminDemon)
Nick IS hard to get ahold of. I agree with Andy. Give him a lil more time. IMO "time to ante up..." sounds a lil to harsh for only a day going by. The best way I think to get ahold of Nick is to go through MattG. He is very easy to get ahold and will take care of you no doubt.
Respectfully, I don't have the convienence of waiting by the phone for someone to call me back due to my occupation. A quick e-mail of reciept will do just fine for now. Everyone is always busy. I am very happy with my ARE package, and can't wait to get the tune in. It's just hard to discuss things with an answering machine.
Thanks. I was hoping the first reply wouldn't blow me out of the water. I'm sure most of us would love to be able to take care of every customer in a timely manner. Sometimes with these short 24 hour days :D It just seems like we're always behind. This request seems like a fair one and I'm sure Nick will come through. Sometimes it's frustrating to see customers who want unreasonable things use the Forum as a sort of "blackmail". And , again , I don't see this as unreasonable at all. Just a little premature. Peace!
Your right, it does sound harsh. I only meant it in fun. I hope Nic's in a good mood!!!!!!! As I'm sure you can imagine, the anxiety now is killing me!!!

AGREE... We 100+ emails a DAY, it's very difficult to get back to everyone in a timely manner and get work done! Pick-up the phone if anything else, why post here :(

He did say this:
I'm getting no replies through e-mail or the phone
Just got it Dave, we can not just send you a file for the tune via int. We did try thihs once and it can wipe out your pcm!!?
We will have to get you to do the injector offset first and then get to a dyno to sort out the rest, you will need to get a handle on the LS1 edit to get things sorted out.
Thanks for speaking with me on the phone this morning. You did say in the beginning I could send you my edit flash after the install and you would tune on it some, and then I could get on a dyno and then send you that one, and we'd go back and forth til it's right. The LS1-edit tuning was why I went with you when I purchased my ARE H/C package. I can install the H/C, but I don't know much about computers or tuning. Maybe you can direct me toward someone who can help? Some of the edit stuff is easy, but most of it is way over my head. I would rather pay someone to do it and then tweak on that.
Hi Dave, call Wade first thing in the morning and he will run you through the injector offset and a few other things to get you close. I tried to make some changes to your file but was "told" if I sent it back to you and you loaded it into the car it cause the pcm to crash?? I would rather be safe than sorry for now untill we know for sure.
Hey Dave, just a message back from the guys at Carputing and they said we should be able to do it as long as we modify the origional program from your car (the one you sent us). :D
Wade will work on it later and send it over , you should have it by tonight some time. I just wanted verification from the guys that make the software before we went ahead and sent it to you.
I agree it can be difficult sometimes to get a hold of Nick, but the last time I called he knew I called once before and so he quit grinding on a set of heads to come take my phone call, even though I get the feeling that he asked Wanda not to be disturbed. I would also consider talking to Wade if you have ARE questions or Barry. They are all good to talk to eh.......I agree with Andy, and am glad to hear that you were not just flaming somebody "ScreaminDemon". The problem with internet though is that you can't hear the tone or mood of somebody's remark...so it is really left up to the person reading its interpretation. I got in trouble with emails earilier in my career, because people thought they sounded harsh..and I didn't mean it that way..those little icons are really a help sometimes. Regardless it looks like your tuning issues are attempting to be resolved. Good Luck Dude!
Thanks Nick. I'm looking foward to a really fun weekend. This big solid roller sound is fan- -tas- -tic :yesnod: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
