Ok, did something stupid. I replaced by reserve bulbs while to car was on and they went out. The bulbs are fine. Is there a fuse that may have blown out that can be replaced?
It was fine when I pulled it out. I put a new one in anyway. My daytime lights and mirrors work fine. The lights come on when I put it in reverse. They do not come on when I turn on my headlights in either position.
I guess I don't understand the problem. Sounds like the reverse lights are working properly if they come on when you put it in reverse and don't come on when you turn the lights on. Are you saying that your backup lights work with the headlights off and don't work when the headlights are on?

This may have been a one time thing. I replaced by factory bulbs with LED bulbs. With the car not running, I turned on my headlights and the reverse lights lit up. This also happened when the car was running. When I put the car in reverse, the reverse lights got a lot brighter as I believe they should. One of the LEDs was dimmer than the other so I took them out. I did this with my headlights on and the car not running. When I put the factory lights back in with the headlights on, the reverse light did not come on. They do come on when I put the car in reverse. The photo is of my headlights on, car running, reverse not engaged, with LED lights. I toke the photo. What do you think?
That's a much different problem then you first posted.
It sounds like a leakage resistance between the light power and the backup light wiring. There is some kind of bridge causing some of the tail light power to reach the backup lights. The LEDs take so little power the leakage current is enough to light them up. I have no idea where to start looking. Try looking in the connector/wiring at the rear of the car first.

Thanks for the replies. I had to send one back so I will clean out the connectors before installing the new LEDs.
Y'all, thank you for the help! Today the first thing that I tried was taking all the vacuum hoses off and using my compressor to blow them out. I looked for cracks and although they're old, they held just fine. I assembled it all back together and now it seems to work almost perfectly. It's still a little slower than the driver's side, but it drops in unison, which it didn't do before. I don't know if a hose wasn't connected correctly or if there was debris that I didn't see blow out but I'm going to call it good! Thank you all again! Great suggestions!
