Default C5/Camaro interchangability

Hey guys, I am selling my Camaro and was wanting to know what all is interchangeable as far as the engine(LS1). I have a T56 from the Camaro also and am assuming it wont work in the C5, am I correct in thinking this?

Also what about bolting the LS1 in, will it bolt right onto the C5's motor mount? I am building a Forged 347ci and when finished will pull the engine from the C5 and replace it with the 347. And will I just plug all the sensors/electronics in like normal or are some of the sensors in different locations on the block etc?

What about the front accessories? any of that the same?

Or am I overthinking all this? should I just finish the 347 build and throw it in the C5?

Would really appreciate some answers. thanks in advance guys

Fbody to C5.. the accessories are different with the exception of maybe the water pump. Alternator is on top of a C5 and bottom of a Fbody. C5s are drive by wire and Fbodys are cable driven. The balancers are different. The tranmission I'm not sure about but a C5 has the transmission in the rear vs the Fbodys traditional placement. Motor mounts are different the C5 uses a stud and nut vertical and the fbody uses a horizontal set up.

Since the motor mounts are different would an LS1 from an fbody bolt up correctly in a c5 using the existing c5s motor mounts? this was really my main concern. the Forged 347ci was from an 00 Z28, just wondering if it will bolt right into the c5 using the c5s mounts. Yes or No? ..but please say yes lol

F-Body Transmission in a C5 is a no go.

If you had a running C5 and a runnng Fbody. You can use the engine from either one in either one. You can take your motor mounts from your C5 and use on the Z28 engine when you install it in the C5. Long block wise an LS1 is an LS1.
