Re: 1/4 ETs on 373 Gears (MI-Blue)
In my opinion you will feel the car pull better but don't expect miracles from just going from 3.42s to 3.73s. I would expect your 1/4 mile times to pick up approx. 2 tenths or so over the stock 3.42s that the M6 cars come from. Going with the 4.10s would give you that much more SOTP feeling and would probalby lower your ets by about 4 tenths in my humble opinoin.
Goodluck to you and let's un know what you pull. Did you get any 1/4 mile times under your previous set up using the 3.42 gears? Just wondering , as it will be interesting to see exactly how much you improve by.
2 tenths is reasonable for 1/4 mile runs. In addition to better drivability too. I installed the 3.73's quite a while back... If I had to do it all over again I would have purchased the M12 trans and then purchased the Z06 3.42's (they are different too) Looks like I am going that route now. :yesnod:

vetterdstr
The only difference in Z06 3.42's is the ring and pinion are shot peened.
Yes I do, The Trans has lower gears first through 3rd than the 3.73's 4th is the same (1:1) for some good speed and 5th and 6th are a bit lower. The 3.42's on the Z06 are hardened and shot peened like my 3.73's
From my stand point I dont see how you can go wrong......
