Yes you can, a friend of mine did it to have a better sound and loose some weight. It is best done on a lift since you need a lot of clearance. Any muffler shop can help you if you don't have access to a lift.
The muffler has less chambers, larger internal piping and are made of Titanium (super lite weight). They sound a little deeper/louder then base mufflers, weigh quite a bit less then base mufflers and will not restrict power like base mufflers (not a lot of gains of stock engines.. Ti mufflers are good for up to Aprox 500whp. The Ti mufflers sound good especially with LT headers... Not to loud and no drone.
The Z06 02+ does not have pup cats only a pair of primary cats, but it would require LS6 exhaust manifolds as well. I dont think they Hpipe is a straight swap without them... someone else can verify but i think the flanges are in different locations/angles. (i could be wrong on this). From what i understand the cats will not cost you any power (or very minimal if they do). The manifold is a 4-2-1 design rather then a 4-to-1 like the LS1 has but not really worth the swap unless you are wanting to keep it as Stock as possable with minimal upgrades.
Z06 Ti mufflers are usually going for around $300-$400 for the pair the manifolds and Hpipe are basically worthless to most people so can be had for next to nothing ($50-$100).

Yes. I did it on my 2001 convertible; no modifications whatsoever.
As was said earlier, you need to get the car up pretty high (I've been told at least 36") so the exhaust will clear the rear-end; so you'll want access to a lift. Then, just a few bolts on the exhaust and muffler hangers and you're done. Once it was up in the air, it took less than 15 minutes with hand tools.
