Steering wheel air bag deployment?

Anyone know how it deploys?

I like these coverings:

However, if the airbag cover splits in the center, I wouldn't feel comfortable betting on those stitches to give way. Or does the whole horn/center cover flip up as one piece?

if im correct it splits down the middle then blows both halves off

or the cover just blows off. im sure youd be fine. we used to launch garbage cans 15+ft in the air with airbags back in auto shop

I have a wild idea. Why don't you talk to the people that make the product???? If they don't know, walk away.

Other option, run your own emphrical test. Make sure to video it.

Or, just contact one of the Corvette recyclers, I am sure they can tell you from what they ahve actually seen.

Apsis has claimed it works in other threads. I'd rather know from a 3rd party that isn't profiting from it. That's why I'm asking. This is a big forum and someone has to know.
