key fob problem
key fob no longer works since the car has had the battery run down on numerous occasions the last 5 mos. Replaced the battery, inspected the internals for solder contact.
attempted two different styles of sync. Both through the dic and the holding of both buttons outside of the door. here is what happened.
When setting with the dic, the door locks start to shuffle on and off for over 30 seconds, then stops. Fob doesn't work.
when I stood outside of the car and held both lock and unlock, waited until the horn honked. horn honked and still the fob wont work.
is there something im missing? Or do I just get a new fob?

Have you tried to RETRAIN the FOBS? Look in the owners manual. It explains the RETRAIN or FOB Training procedure using the DIC/IPC. Look under FOB Training.
It's in the BLANK part of the DIC menue. Re-Train and see if that helps.
After you retrain the fob, see if you can SYNC them and see if that makes it work normaly.
You will need to retrain ALL your FOBS when you do the procedure so gather them all up. You can train up to THREE FOBS.

If your corvette is a 1997 -1999 what you'll need to do is order a fob for a 2000 vette. The older fobs were faulty.
