HUD not displaying.
Sorry for creating yet another thread about the HUD failing, but after looking for an hour at all the other threads, none of them could help me.
The HUD stopped displaying one day when I started the car. If the lighting is right, I can see the HUD clearly (just not lit up) from the reflection of the windscreen. The up/down adjustment works fine. So it's not the mirror angle issue, and yes, the brightness is turned up.
I'm just worried that I'll have to replace the entire unit. The dash will be apart next week when I'm installing a new SWPS so I'll be able to further examine the issue. I was just curious if anyone else has had this issue or can comment on the problem or laugh at me for making another HUD thread.

It may be the same type of issue that caused many outside temperature displays to fade into oblivion. The answer to that issue was to resolder some of the components on the circuit board, as I had to restore the display brightness.
My HUD display is brighter when the ambient temps are cooler. I haven't had the time to try to get at the circuit board to resolder cracking solder joints, but I suggest you look for those when you have your dash apart.
