My check engine light came on while driving on a really dusty road :nono: . This remained lite for a day until I layed a little rubber then it went out  . I checked the K & N air filter and it is in good shape so no plugs there. Any ideas what happened? It was not flashing; just a steady burn. Do I need to do anything? I have 18,000 miles on her now and this is the first time anything has happened.
PS: I got 31 mpg at 73 mph. I did the math to double check the D.I.C. and it is right on the mark.
pull the code off :D Hold down the "options" button and press the "fuel" button 4 times and then hit options again to go to manual mode. This is in the tech tip section :D
Clear all messages on the DIC by pressing Reset. Press and hold the option button, press the fuel button four times. You will now see the Error codes for each system. Note the all codes you get, they begin with PCM - TCS - and so on.
Check the code explanation on the following web page : http://www.c5forum.com/ayc/dtcdic.php Select your year far down on the page. If you have a 2001 or never select 2000 which have most of the 2001 and newer codes.
Post your findings here and I'm sure somebody will help you out.
DTC B0521 Tachometer Signal Circuit Malfunction

DTC U1160H Lost Communication with XXX
Are these anything I need to worry about? I'm afraid that if I take it to the shop that the RESET will be pushed and nothing will be done to correct the problems. Suggestions?
