Default Tires for my C5 ?

I want to get a new set of tires for my 2001 Vette. I have been searching on the net. I want a set that are smooth and quiet. i am not a racer , just love cruising with some performance when the urge hits me. I am also on a budget. Has any body tried the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. According to Tire rack, they appear to be pretty good. Any advice?....Thanks

You need to post if you want a RUNFLAT or NON RUNFLAT tire. Sounds like you could retain the Runflat tire for you driving needs.

Yea. Not going with runflats. Too expensive and don't want to chance that they will be noisy....Thanks

Hancook's aren't bad I run them in 265/35 18, and 305/30 19 on C6 Z06 wheels

I have some Hancook V12s and I love them. I've had F1's, General Exclaims, and some other Sumimoto's. V12's were the best deal and they are by far my favorite.

I have them and think they are a great tire. I don't drive the vette in rain or snow, but dry they work great.

I just recently (400-500 Miles) ago got some Firestone Firehawk Oval Indy 500's. I really like them. They look good, are really quiet and perform well for my driving style.

I got them from firestone, all the way around with the warranties and lifetime balancing/alignment for under 1k.

Tire Rack has a set of 4 in stock sizes for 500, an OK inexpensive tire with a below average traction rating of A

It seems as though 245/45 17's are available in that series but not 275/40 18

I also had the Hankook Evo V12 and they were a great tire for the price.
