Kenwood DDX470 park switch wire
May not be the right place for this, but I'm not getting any traction in the electronics forum
I'm putting a Kenwood DDX470 into a 2004 Z06. I'm trying to figure out were to put the green park switch wire. It looks as though there is a purple and an orange wire running up from the parking break lever, under the console, and then forward. Are these the two correct wires? If so which would I tap into?
I don't want to bypass the safety feature.

Make sure you if you disable it that you know what's on your memory car. Nothing like some bass **** blasting out of a 12" JL audio while you try to fumble to turn the screen off in rush hour traffic with the windows and top down...

Put a test light on both wires. Attach the wire from the head unit to the wire that changes to negative when the e-brake is pulled up. I would just ground it, but it's your car do what you want.
