Dumping Fuel??- Help
My vehicle stalled in the parking lot today. Refused to stay above idle and died 4 times, sounded like an old vehicle on a cold day. Then I smelled some sort of fumes, perhaps raw gasoline. It also made a pumping hiss noise, like an air hose is disconnected. Drove it for a mile or so and it went away- then the check engine light came on. Called the dealer and was told souded like 'dumping fuel'.
I have 15,000 on the vehicle, a 2001. Any ideas? Can't get a service appoinment until Wednesday. Is it safe for me to drive it?

Sorry you are having this problem. Any one of a number of fuel line connections may have come loose, as could the connection between the tanks. I would not drive the car if it we mine; might be OK, but those "mights" bother me. :yesnod: Good luck!
