There are no legal BBK's. They have a CARB pending number, which has been pending for years and years now. They arent legal.

These shortys are worthless. Im telling you. I did a purposeful before and after dyno with a set because of all the questions about it. I have dyno charts to prove ZERO gain between stock and BBK shortys. Complete waste of money. The guy with the SC kit and bbks, the power is from the SC kit, not the shortys.

I'm selling mine shortly . Completely adapted for direct bolt in on a c5.

They make good power over the stock stuff. You can weld the air tubes on them and make it look factory.

I Don't know about any dyno proven gains of shorties. I have LS7 Exhaust manifolds as well. they are a factory part so they will pass MUCH easier then a tubular design. we are E-test but not CARB (NOT yet atleast) here in colorado, they passed me just fine.

My 04Z06 with intake, LS7 Exhaust (manifolds, CATS, Downpipes and Hpipe) into stock Ti mufflers with a tune dynoed 383HP/358TQ and passes E-Test. So looking at a 25-30HP gain to the wheels with this setup (stock heads/Cam). I modified the stock AIR setup to mate to the manifolds but if you have the tuner tune them out you can remove the AIR stuff and clean up the engine bay. Look for my post about LS7 exhaust and you will see pics an dyno graph.

Not to bad of a Upgrade for a few hundred bucks.

I had the BBK on my 01 when I still had a C5 and despite what people say whom had never had them on their C5 they have a great look, bolt right up, they are extremely well made, a lot lighter than the stock manifolds at least by 20lbs, sound great and you can feel the extra torque and power especially on the highway and higher RPM driving. A great deal too, I think they go for about 350 new.

My opinion is...it's your car and money, play as you wish. I picked up some BBK's myself, at a GREAT price, going to give them a whirl this spring. If I don't like them, I'll go another route at some point. As much as we all want a asphalt destroying, fire-breathing dragon parked in our garage, we all don't have bottomless wallets. If nothing else, at least you can say you have headers on your car... Personally, I feel very fortunate just to have a Corvette parked in my garage. Good luck.
