Maybe in traffic. The fans don't come on low speed until 225, high 235. The stock thermostat is 195. If your car runs around 195-200 on the highway, it's probably ok. Make sure the front sir deflector is in place, coolant is full and there are no airflow obstructions to the radiator.
Hopefully Bill Curlee will post some more info and links for you. Sometimes debris gets in between the radiator and ac condenser.

Both my 96 LT1 and my 04 LS1 run at that higher temp. Took awhile to get used to that. But these engines are designed that way.

That's a little high, not alarming, but higher than any I've owned normally run. Check for leaves and debris between the radiator and condensor for the a/c. Everything sucks up in from the bottom and gets stuck in there. That may cool you down to around 200-210 where my stock C5's have always run.

In 70 deg weather cruising should be right around 200--warmer temps it will run alittle warmer--standing traffic a couple of minutes in hot weather 90-100-likely around 225 but cool right down when moving to around 205--look for any crap around the rad.--your temps seem alittle high but not alarming--

I had that issue for the longest time. Posted here about it also. Actually turned out to be the battery of all things. No codes, No other weird issues. As soon as i installed the optima it was Done. It rarely goes over 220. I'm in Florida, in traffic at 85 degrees outside with the air on. Hope this helps.

I think you might have a problem if you are running that temperature in February. The stock thermostat opens at 180, the low fans come on at 185 if the A/C is on, and 226 is it's off. Just as important is to notice how fast the temperature comes down if it gets to 230. Not to worry though, this forum has many suggestions to get that temperature down. One reason it runs so hot is help keep emissions down. Problem is, it works great in Michigan, not so great in Phoenix.
