Wrong clutch slave?

Wrong clutch slave?
This is the clutch slave I received from Monster. It has the wrong connection...for an F-body. Is the answer as simple as pulling the old one off the old slave or should I have them send the correct slave?

Have them ship you the slave cylinder with the correct/ proper lines/disconnect & bleeder fitting already attached.
You paid for new parts, why use your old disconnect & bleeder fitting.

The last two aftermarket C5 clutches, a Monster just like that one and a Mantic twin disc, both had that same setup on the slave fittings. I believe they are configured that way to accommodate the remote bleed line easier. I'll be installing my Mantic in the next couple of weeks with a remote bleed line.
Here's a pic of the one that came with the Monster clutch. I ended up selling this and buying the higher capacity Mantic.

That's an Fbody slave, not a C5 slave. It was either ordered incorrectly or my guys screwed up. Regardless, just give us a call and we'll get you taken care of. 817-750-2000

No, he wants you to contact him so he can ship you a CORRECT slave and get you up and running. Monster is one of the best companies I've ever dealt with, and WILL get you taken care of. Trust me.

The direct fit C5 slave cylinders are getting harder to come by, you even mentioned the Mantic had the same?

That is probably the only negative post I can remember on this board about Mantic and it's hear say at that.
I have seen tons of negative posts about Monster clutches, but I would never quote, save, or repost them here or anywhere else.
I know the real history on that clutch, it was severely abused, the owner concurred, and we sent him a new one anyway. We can do that because the failure rate of Mantic clutches is next to none.
Lets keep things professional please.

Hmm, that almost got out of hand. I had not checked the post since last week. I had a simple question and I appreciate the answers. I'll work it out with Monster. They seemed very accommodating on the phone the couple of times I talked to them. I created the post to gauge if it was even worth bringing up to Monster, as I haven't done a clutch on a C5 and I don't know if there are issues with reusing the line or if they are prone to failure.
