Default c6 frame dimensions

Looking for c6 frame dimensions or cad drawing. I want to see if the suspension will bolt on a c5 from a c6. I know the frames are different in length, but I will be lengthening the frame anyway. I have seen lots of drawings for the c5, but nothing for the c6.

Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish? You can pretty much swap the C6 shocks and possibly the sway bars to the C5. The entire rear cradle also can be transplanted from a C6 to a C5. The system set up is basically the same between the two so I don't think there is anything to gain.

I bought a wrecked 08 vette with the thought of transferring everything to a 69 Camaro. Unfortunately the frame was completely ruined so I don't even know the original mounting points. I am looking for a new frame but c5 seems to be the only thing available for a reasonable price.

So I guess the c6 engine cradle does not mate with the c5 frame?

You can bolt a C6 rear cross member in a C5 chassis and use all C6 control arms and make the car the same wheel base as a C6. Diff mounts are different as well.

Torque tubes are different lengths, bellhousings are different lengths

Door stills are different, and so are the rocker panels and inner door frames. Not only fiberglass but the steel on the frame as well. The B pillar is completely different above the beltline.

Always cut the nose and tail off for the race cars so not sure what changed there.

Depends on how detailed you want to get with it. For us, we cut enough off and the frames are pretty much the same for what we do with the race cars.
According to this I guess I shouldn't have any problem using the C5 frame.

I'm building a similar project but I just built my own frame structure right into the body. I'm pretty sure the C5 or C6 frames would be too wide along the rockers.

I just had a crazy thing happen. I hit a speed bump and the my 2007 C6 corvette totally died in a parking lot. The battery still has a charge and the terminals are clean. It's like something just came loose. Totally no power. If anyone can provide some suggestions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

To see the reply to the 6 year old dimension question or the reply to the 1.5 year old off topic loss of power question?

FYI, the C5 and C6 suspensions will bolt onto both the C5 and C6 frames.
