Did -99 ebcm work in -97 vette?
I get dtc 1255 EBTCM Internal Malfunction in my -97 vette. I find ebcm from -99 model car. Did that work in -97 car? -97 ebcm is rear of car and -99 its front of car. Both ebcm have M code and without active handling.

That code is normally the "death" code for the module. Check the connector for any issues and maybe you'll get lucky.
Looked at the parts manual and the 97 seems unique and not interchangeable with any other year.

I check connetors already and they look fine. Have to look again grounds. Dtc 1255 is not always on. Look like i get that under hard acceleration.
He say 97-00 is same ebcm even locate different place.
