Default Oil Leak Question

Started removing my old exhaust manifolds and H Pipe today to get ready to put in long tube headers and noticed its got an oil leak. I thought I could smell oil the other day but I could not see anything when I looked under the car. Its definitely on the passenger side of the car and all the oil markings are on the side of the oil pan from the upper pan gasket on down. I dont see any traces of oil above that point but how do I go about getting a good look at the back of the engine to see if the oil pressure sending unit and the cam sensor are not leaking ? If you look at the pictures. The back of the flywheel is totally dry so should that rule out it being the rear main seal ?

Back of my motor looks similar to that. Oil level never drops over my 8k OCI, and I never see any drips on the concrete. I just ignore it hah.

I agree, from the pictures it appears the upper pan gasket is leaking. It's more common for them to leak on the drivers side where pressurized oil passes through. What's that look like? To be safe, I would take a good look at the O P switch. They are a common problem. Try a small extension mirror to check it. Otherwise a bore scope would work well.

old Mobil 1 will do that it is very acidic. try changing to Amsoil or redline and see if the leaks stops.

see if you can tighten some of the oil pan screws

The bolt that looks like it's the back upper pan bolt that's actually the lowest bolt in the first picture was somewhat loose. Turned relatively easily when I put a wrench on it. So I did snug it up. I will pick up a mirror so I can get a look at the sensors.

Douche that area down with some brake cleaner and check it again in a week or so.

Could be slowly leaking from oil pressure sensor. If you get on the drivers side of the car and shine a flash light behind the manifold you can see it

I am having trouble seeing the oil pressure and cam sensors. Even with a mirror. What's the trick ? Do I do this from under the car or looking from above ?

Above. Might have to come at it from one side or the other.
