emergency brake button popped out????
So to set my emergency brake I was having to pull handle then pull the button on handle out a little bit to make it stay. So last time I tried that the button came out about a half inch and now I get no clicks and e brake wont stay up. Is this fixable or do I need to buy another e brake set up. If I do have to replace whole thing I notice all the e brakes come with the cable attached. Is this because when u change assembly u cant swap cable at the handle?

I had this happen on my 97 T/A and I had to take the centre console apart to get to the end of rod attached to the button and reseat it.
Unfortunately I have no idea how simliar the mechanism is on the C5 as I've not had it apart so this may not help.
