Do you hear this?
my 2001 6spd has a very faint noise while driving. actually sounds like
the windshield wipers are on, very, very faint sound. does the brake
actuator make any noise during driving? it's funny how well you get
to know your vett and start hearing anything and everything unusual.

I was hearing a strange noise from the dash area when I first got my 99. It ended up to be air in the heater core. It was causing some actuator to turn on and off and making a buzzing noise. Bleeding the coolant system fixed it. Not sure if that sounds like what you describe, but maybe worth a shot.

sound is coming from behind drivers seat in hatchback area
i'm thinking its one of the two fuel pumps? that are with fuel tank.
