Just Replaced Balancer
my observations:
USE THE PROPER TOOLS... the biggest p.i.t.a. for me was the steering rack. Be sure to get a 18mm crows foot flair nut wrench. It made removing the fittings a snap. Also I dropped the cradle 3/4 inch or so.
borrowed advance auto parts torque wrench and 3 jaw puller. I bought a tool to press the new balancer on. DO NOT USE THE BOLT. I also used the arp balancer bolt. While in there , I replaced the crank seal and all belts and pulleys. The job was not as bad as I thought.....again thanks to all the guys who posted tips. I have a 98 vert automatic and I kept the engine from turning via the inspection plug on the bottom of the bell housing, got a wrench in there to stop the engine from turning.
