Default Need help finding part for shifter

Need help finding the part I have shown below. I decided to perform the shifter adjustment this weekend and once I got the shifter exposed, I discovered the rubber bushings were shot. Upon closer inspection, it appears this peice (don't know the exact name) is broken. I already have the new bushings on order but cannot find the part shown below. Does anyone know what this part is called and where can I find a replacement? Thanks!

Since it has never been available through GM SPO as a replacement part, it has never had an "official" GM part name. I call it a "sleeve", as that's the kind of function it performs. Being metal of course, it would be a metal sleeve. Shifter bushing sleeve.

Thanks for the help so far. I have contacted zip corvette about the shifter bushing sleeve (I like that name), waiting to hear back from them.

I saw a used box being sold over on the big auction site for $25.00 OBO + $8.00 shipping. It appears that both sleeves are intact. Being sold by a regular seller out of Pennsylvania. If $20 were offered they may take it.

Replied to your PM.

Btw, it appears to me that perhaps someone tried to pry your sleeve out and damaged it. I have never seen any other instance of damaged sleeves in these things before.
If I were to try to remove a good one, I would recommend pressing it out, even if only using a bench vise, or something similar.

In my case I don't think so knowing what I know from the previous owner but that does make a lot of sense. I found a couple others for sale on the internet with the exact same area broke off.

My next question is… supposedly when I go to replace this part and bushing, from what I have found on the WWW, there is a procedure to replace this metal shifter bushing (needing to press it out and in) without damaging the bushing or the metal bushing sleeve. Does anyone have this procedure documented that might be willing to share? If so, please let me know. It would be much appreciated.

Might be a good time to switch to a C6 shifter and box. GMPH has a good price on it.

You can NOT purchase the OEM rubber bushing or the solid aluminum ZO6 bushing from GM. Several Aftermarket people make a plastic/nylon replacement bushing that works well.

If it were me, I would find a big meaty metal washer and solid mount the box like the C5 ZO6 box is mounted! You dont need NO stinking rubber bushings!!!

Picture of a stock 2002 C5 ZO6 lower box with a KIRBAN Aftermarket quick shifter installed. NOTE the stock OEM solid metal ZO6 bushing where your rubber ones are:

Something I just brain stormed!
Remove the rubber from the center part. Put some duct tape under the mounting tab and insert the clean rubberless center part centered in the hole. Fill the void between the lower box mounting tab and the inner metal part of the bushing with JB Weld two part EPOXY!

BAM,, ZO6 ROCK SOLID!

The ONLY reason GM put an isolation bushing in that part was to help keep the drivetrain noise out of the cabin.

To tell you the truth, I have NEVER had any drive train noise when my 02 ZO6 was stock or in the HIGHLY modified state that it is in now.
