Brake Pad Replacement?

Brake Pad Replacement?
What is the usual mileage before I need to get my brake pads replaced? 13,000 miles right now and they are feeling a little soft on the foot. Should I go to stock pads or are there aftermarket pads that work better? Thanks

A soft pedal is more indictative of air in the system, rather than worn pads. I would suggest bleeding your brake lines.. While you have the wheels off, you can visually inspect how much pad is left. You may want to consider flushing the old fluid out if it's 2 years old or more. The moisture builds up in brake fluid over time.
With 10k miles on my pads, I had 50% of the pad left. That is with 2 track days of very aggressive braking.
Lots of choices on aftermarket pads... Almost a religious issue on the forum! I stuck with stock myself because think they are a fair compromise between stopping power and dusting.
