Default Tires

I bought a 2004 Commemorative 24:00 last week. On the front are Michelin Pilot Sport AS and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 on the rear. I'm new to C5's and wonder is this a correct combination or should they match?

yes but for a mis match that's done the safest way with more grip in the rear

let the forum know what you want out of your tires and what your budget is.

I prefer matching tires front to rear. Not sure why your car has mismatched front and rear tires, especially given the cost of the michelins. Such a beautiful car and worth a few pennies, why not do it right.

Thanks to all for the input. No clue why it was done. When they wear out I'm going to match them.

I had a set of the A/S Michelins ZPs on my C-5 since 2007. I DO NOT do any burn-outs, and keep the car aligned. The rears, however, were noticeably worn, compared to the fronts. Although I just replaced them all with a set of PS2 ZPs, I could see where someone who was a little more "thrifty" would have replaced the rears, and run the fronts for another 4-5000 miles.
