For those that have gone from perimeter bolt valve covers to center bolt valve covers I know a newer coil bracket is needed. Did the fuel rail covers fit ok, where there any clearance issues?
I'm doing this right now. Haven't put everything back together, as I just put the heads on today, and now waiting on push rods.
I can already tell that the placement of the studs for the covers to clip onto is not the same. Not sure what will be required to make it work. Once I get the engine back together I'll tackle it, but it is not going to work the way they are.
Well, I have everything on the driver's side installed and the cover fit ok on that side. I'm pleasantly surprised. I thought I would have to build some little brackets.
Seems like the passenger side should be ok since there is less to interfere on that side, but haven't got there yet.

I ran the coil harness between the bracket and the valve cover. Also it may be worth noting that this car has AIR delete and LS6 PCV system. Not sure how those components would affect the cover, or if at all.
It does need a good spit shine. I'm more worried about the fact that the transmission was seeping all over the place and sitting in my shop floor right now.
