The battery for the fob is a 3 Volt 2450 Duracell or equivalent. I never heard of something like that being rechargeable so tell us how you recharged that. Did you have to remove it from the fob or do you have some sort of fob which plugs into a charger? Post a few pics.

Look at this thread and see if it fits your symptoms, look near the end of the thread and if so check fuse #27 in the passenger footwell.

I was referring to the car battery not the key fob battery.

65GGvert: I got one of the fobs working by inserting the key into the ignition and pressing both lock and unlock buttons at the same time. I did not follow the procedure in the manual which instructs you to go through the DIC center and wait for the Lock and Unlock message. The keys (and fobs) giving me the trouble are the original keys issued with the vehicle. The procedure in the manual (going through the DIC center) might only be appropriate for new keys (not issued with the vehicle)? At least I got one to work but am still puzzled why the second fob doesn't work (it has new batteries). I have ruled out fuse #27 at this point.

I thought this site was for the purpose of sharing information and helping one another? Wise cracks don't accomplish that goal!
