problem heat coming out passenger side of dash and cold air coming out of driver's side ac is turned what is the problem
Not sure of the actual fix but I have found a work around for this problem on my Chevy Truck. I turn the hvac sytem to heat and then turn off the ignition. Then start the engine it again and switch it back to cool.
I believe the system thinks the actuator is in the cool position when it is actually in the heat position. By switching the dial to heat and cycling power the system comes on with the actuator in the heat position and then will move it to the cool position when the dial is moved. I replaced the actuator but the problem came back in less then a year. Now, my truck only does it once every 6 months or so which is why I haven't troubleshot it farther...
Its not a vette and is therefore a different system but it would take 10 seconds to give it a try.
Edit: Reread your question, have you checked the passenger side setting?
This is a common problem with lots of information, have you tried the search? Normally this is an actuator problem which sometimes can be fixed with a fuse pull or battery unhook which will reset everything.
Do a search on how to check the DIC for codes, look at the HVAC section and see if you have any codes, if so, write them down and repost with the H or C at the end of the codes.
