Default valve cover spacers??

I've recently installed Yella Terra rocker arms and have discovered they aren't designed to fit under the stock valve covers. Thanks for mentioning this Yella Terra
Anyway, like a lot of you, I have more $ than time. Rather than machining the stock valve covers, testing for clearance (I don't know how I would do this anyway), machining, testing, machining, testing.....I'd prefer to just buy taller valve covers or use those spacers I see on flee bay. Has any one had success with either? Any products you can recommend?
Thanks!!!

You don't have much clearance under the alternator. Thicker gaskets are about the best you can do. But, the Yella Terras fit without that. At least mine did. 2001 Z with AFR 205 heads.

I bought a set of take offs on fleabay and ground those. My originals are in a box. They don't take long to grind down and I got the later version so I could update the valley cover to the one with the integral PCV restriction. Spacers can be a leak issue and you may have issues with the alternator as previously mentioned.

Yella terra offers a thicker valve cover gasket part number 5132 that is 5/16" taller for clearance issues. You can get them through vinci high performance. Usually this is needed for ls3 and ls7 though

You can get 1/2" spacers from Jegs.

The one bitch is the ignition coil mounting bolt under the alternator.
