passenger side window motor not working. relay is clicking. i took apart the motor and cleaned the armature and got it work for a day. i will try cleaning it one more time before i just buy a new unit. question is if i do get a new one, what do you guys think of the aftermarket non acdelco ones? i have seen them as cheap as $50 vs $180 for an acdelco. has anyone out there had good luck with a cheaper one?
thanks.
Mine did the same thing. I bought new motor/reg and found out the harness didn't fit and needed a new connector. So took motor apart again. This time used some Emory cloth and cleaned off where the brushes touch. Then cleaned it back off. Put it back together and it worked. Here I am a year later and still working without issues.

I had this issue about a month ago on the drivers side, I bought the entire assembly on EBAY band new from "dependableautoparts" , do a search for "97-04 Chevrolet Corvette power window regulator" It's around $60 it works fantastic, very smooth.
The install is not all that hard with guidance from this guy who did a great walk-through on You Tube:
It will probably take 45 min to 1hr, some fine tuning is often needed after the base install to get the glass lined up to the roof line but it's done with a couple of adjustable screws built in and simply requires some patience.
