Default Voltage issue???

Hey guys! I have a 2000 base c5 with ttix kit.. Recently I have been having issues with voltage which I think is causing top end issues with my dyno sessions. Noticed that now my voltage gauge reads 13.4 cruising around and at night with lights on its 13.3/13.2 and also if I hit my turn signal or high beams it drops to 12.8 for a second and back up to 13.3.. I have recently checked all grounds and also checked my starter for any loose wiring and everything is snug.. My car had the stock 110 amp on it and I also put on a new 145amp from gm to see if it would fix problem as well and it didn't .. My yellow top optima is about 4 years old so I took that and had it checked and that came out as a good battery as well.. Any help guys? Looking into purchasing a billet tech alt which is a 170amp but I'm worrying if that's gonna even help me.. Thanks

Would the switch being faulty cause voltage drop at high rpm? Was on dyno past weekend and had voltage drop and you could see were fuel pressure was erratic for a second and pick back up.. Also I noticed last night driving that when I was reversing into a parking spot the lights on dash and the headlights would dim a little bit as I hit the brake pedal

I do have the ttix twin kit on the car. The turbo is close to the starter and wiring but I made sure I wrapped the stater and wiring with high heat sheathing.. nothing looks burnt down there. I will check voltage at battery tonight with volt meter..

Be careful you don't create another problem trying to solve one. Check these postings from Evil-Twin on this matter. He gives a very detailed explanation on how this system works, and since the PCM controls and receives feedback from the alternator, anything that deviates from what it is expecting can set system faults.

1. Detailed explanation.

2. Replacing alternator with a higher capacity one.

3. Loads above the design point.
