Default Engine Build Help/ Suggestions!!

I currently have a 2002 Z06 with a cracked block. I am currently looking for a new bottom portion of the block with pistons, rings, crank, etc.
I currently have the Ls6 243 heads that have been ported and polished with Comp dual valve springs, Comp Valves, Comp Push Rods, Comp Cam with custom grind 230/234 600/601, SLP Underdrive pulley, Borla longtube headers w/o cats, Borla x-pipe and XR-1 pipes, K&N air filter, stock LS6 intake, RPM stage 4 Transmission, and Spec 3 clutch. The car is driven on the street but not a DD, and I am on a budget of around $2k-$3,500k tops for the build.

My question what is the best block and setup for what I currently have now. I'm looking in the range of the 6.0L, such as an LQ4/9 not to concerned about the weight from iron block vs aluminum lS2 with the iron blocks much cheaper. I would like to get as max power and reliability as possible, even a stroker motor would be perfect. I saw on Summit the ATK LQ4 6.0L engine but not sure how that would work with my heads/cam etc. I am open to any suggestions for block size to piston/ring size, crank size, pretty much lower end of block. I am lost on what direction to go with the budget I have.

Thanks
Matt

Check out Thompson motorsports in Texas. I think you can get a forged 415 stroker w an iron block for about 3500

Without knowing more I would do a forged 408 ci, this is what I have. I had Erik at HKE build it for me. It has been very reliable, doesn't burn oil at all and I hope it will stay that way.
If you don't mind the added weight, the 408ci is a good choice. A lot of torque/power and reliability (main reasons that convinced me to choose that platform) And you can reuse most of your parts (pans, covers ...)

But relaibility is also very tune dependant. With a bad tune you can blow a 408ci in a couple thousand miles whereas with the right tune a stock LS1 will live a pretty long time even with a power adder at 700+ RWHP. We have had many examples in the FI section.

Your choice depends on what you really want to do with your car. Do you want to race it? Do you plan on adding power later on with a blower/turbo?
