Default HUD fuse location?

Hi all,
Just bought a 2004 convertible. HUD not working. Manual say to check the fuse located on the drivers side under front floor board. No problem yet. I would be ecstatic if the problem was a blown fuse. When I check the pages (5-94, 5-95 in owners manual) showing fuse number and location in fuse block I can't find anything that remotely designates a fuse for HUD. Can anyone here tell me what is the number (location in fuse block) of the fuse that is designated for the HUD or what it's designation category would be called in the fuse block diagram ?
Thanks,

You can try fuses #19 and 25 but there is no single fuse for the hud. Both those are in the wiring diagram that shows the HUD.

More likely it is the pivot pins for the unit itself. You have to take the dash apart to see them. Not available a single part(s) but some have been able to repair them. I'll look for the write-up and post it if I can find it again.

The HUD connector to the IPC may have come loose. Otherwise your HUD may be DOA.

Not at home but I can get you links for accessing the IPC and removing the dash pad. Both are not difficult DIY things even for total novices. I've helped several people do it with no problems thus far.

Just make sure you bag and tag the fasteners so you know where they go. PM me if you need any help. Neither of these are difficult and I know several TOTAL NOVICES who did these with NO ISSUES.

Sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I'm experiencing a similar issue and wanted to know if you found the source of your issue?

I have a HUD unit sitting on a shelf if you need pictures of anything. Additionally if you want to have another HUD to try-out if you take the dash pad off, this one is available.

Just send me a PM if needed.

My 2004 C5 Corvette HUD went dead. I took the Dash apart and replaced the HUD and still nothing. Looks like no power to the HUD. I checked the fuses behind the passenger floorboard. Any Suggestions??? Looks like I have an extra HUD if anyone needs one. UPDATE: OK Corvette Fans, Fixed Power to the HUD. Pulled fuses #19 and #25 in the passenger floorboard. Fuse #19 was a bit wonky but looked fine. I changed them both anyway with new fuses. Looks like #19 was the Power to the HUD. New fuse fixed the problem.
