Default lower seat foam install

I bought the dj motorsports lower seat foam along with the seat repair kit by tfs. Not too hard to do. Took just over an hour.

Original seat foam was dated 7/22/99. The wires cut through all the way to the pleather

Some pics of the seat repair kit from the bottom. The blue foam pieces on each side.

You can see from the impression on the pleather how much the old foam sagged. About an inch.

When I replaced mine, I sat at least an inch higher, probably more. My drivers side foam was totally shot, especially the outside bolster. The seat is so much more comfortable now.

Definitely at least an inch higher. Much firmer. Only annoyance right now is the sides are pushing into my thighs. It's getting better. I may remove the repair foam inserts.

Great job!

I just put my passenger side back together tonight after repairing the air bladders and adding a seat heater. The passenger sign was fine with minimal wear.

We'll have to see how the driver side is later this weekend.

unless you guys happen to be short that taller foam had my heat on the headliner and i'm only 5'11-6'

I'm 5'9" at first I had to tilt my head because I was sitting so much taller to look out window. Now I'm fine with it. I still have plenty of head room.

The lower seat foam looks like a great idea.

What is the "tfs seat repair kit" ?

Nice job man, I just replaced mine too and I thought it was just me when I noticed how much higher up I sat. Feels a whole lot better but kinda hoping mine settles down a bit cause being 6'1" I don't need to sit up any higher….
