Default Vacuum source and hose diameter needed

I have a Vacuum gauge that I am going to install. After doing a lot of research, it appears that the best point of a good vac source is the brake booster vac feed line. No worries there. Easy to get to. Easy to create a vac *block* with 2 barb fittings into a tee with a reducer to fit the vac line.

Here is my question. What is the inner diameter of the vac booster hose? Some say 5/8, some say 1/2 inch. Just want to make sure that I get the correct inner diameter to insure a non-restricted flow like before the line is cut.

I have searched everywhere. Does any one know? Or is there a company that already makes a *block* for this connection, OR is there a batter tap for the vac attachment?

Thank you all, my friends!

Ok, I have found a block by another company, but I am also going to make one that I think will be better. Has anyone found the diameter of the vac line going to the brake MC ??

HI

Just had a look , 1/2" inner .

There is a small vac pipe coming off the rear of the intake , it does have a vac line connected to it which serves the car vac supply .

The large hose on the left is the other end of the booster hose
Might want to consider it mate , yeah not as easy to get to .

Hey, great! I could put a *T* in the smaller hose coming off the back! A lot safer and simpler!

Great picture by the way! Here's one for ya!
