I just replaced the switch on my 98 vert using the method on you tube.
It was not that hard took 30 mins. I bought a socket at advance made for the sensor and used hemostats to remove and reinstall the plug.
I also used a hose to guide the new unit into the block. The special socket is 3/8 drive and that helps with a little more wiggle room. I was not able to torque the sensor but i used a little teflon tape and snugged it down. Thanks to the guys who used this method prior to me for the tips. I replaced my balancer two weks ago using the help of the forum. thanks again
I'm happy it worked for you. I tried it on a 2001 with the wobble socket and extensions and couldn't even get the socket in the space available. Maybe the 98 and 01 are different, but I gave up on it. Wish you would have video'd it and posted exactly how you did it.
