Got a 1997 C5 (black) and wanted to get the fairly new Calipers red some how. I seen the paint and covers that Ecklers offer also, but not sure which would be best. Anyone use the covers? Not sure how they are kept in place. Any help or info would be great. Thanks, Eddie.
I painted mine with high temp engine red paint and they look great, been painted 5 months and looks as good as it did the day I painted them. Cost about 5-7 buck at Advance. Spray it on or brush.
I used bright red Caliper paint from Dupli-Color let dry overnight and used a 1" file to clean the lettering off and they look great a year later ....xzo
I'v e seen the covers up close and to me they look really stupid. I bought the duplicolor paint but haven't put it on yet. There is a great write up on the application.
