Need T56 parts
On my stock T56, hard to put in 1st or in reverse, i have to rebuild
I was thinking put buy this kit : http://www.thegearbox.org/catalog/it...25/9379737.htm
BUT... they said "The 1-2 outer steel ring is not available"...
AND... this kit is not available right now
1) Do you think this kit WAS complete for me ?
2) Does it 200% mandatory to have "The 1-2 outer steel ring" ?
3) If yes, how can i buy this ring ?
4) Can i have a price, link or contact for similar kit ?
Best regard
They are pretty much going to have the best deals on T56 parts around. I go between them and Tick for any T56 parts I need until it becomes worth it for me to get an account with Tremec.
Who is doing your rebuild?
But, the kit is not available right now

And if rebuild is done, we'll do it (i'm in Europe)
Info from thegearbox :
* stage II kits are out of stock at this time
* The 1-2 outer rings do not always need to be replaced
Info from RPMTransmissions :
* If trans is hard to get in 1st and reverse it sounds more like a clutch release problem than a transmission problem. I would inspect the clutch hydraulics first and if you have a remote bleeder, throw it in the trash because that is likely your problem.
* That kit you posted will be fine but you may need more parts then that kit contains. Like synchronizer assemblies and gears.
* The 1-2 outer rings aren't always necessary. Only if the ring is cracked, worn out or the engagement teeth are broken off of it.
Info from RKT56 :
* The outer ring is normally not replaced unless it's damaged or cracked.
* The kit is listed is pretty complete and should work for your rebuild.
So... perhaps just an clutch issue ?
I changed the slave, and put a remote blender
Did you think it can just be the master now ?
