I had the same problem and replaced the wiper motor to fix it. That was about 2 or 3 years ago. Now its doing it again. Guess I have buy another motor. The replacement wasn't bad there is a how to on here.

Can be done without removing the arms and the just lifting the cowling, but it makes rotating the cam more difficult.

The tab circled in yellow on the lower moving plate, has to stop at the tab circled in red. It doesn’t reverse properly if they the tab doesn’t stop the lower plate. My tad didn’t look bent out of position, but I bent it forward and put it back together, and it solved the problem.
