I live in Northern New Jersey. Does anyone know of a good dyna tune shop? Im willing to travel for the right shop. It is basically a stock vehicle with Borla exhaust and a cold air kit. Any suggestions would help. Thanks

There is a list of tuners on the left side of this page. Some of those may be in your area. IMHO, you have little to gain at this point with a dyno tune and it is relatively expensive (usually 450 and up). If you have an auto it will benefit you to get the shift points adjusted and firmed up and maybe some cel codes set to not report. All of this can be done without a dyno.

I appreciate the info. I called Bruce's speed shop in Rockaway NJ and he is at $750. But says he can get me a minimum of 30 horsepower. I think I'm going to finish replacign the stock shifter and a few other minor upgrades and try the dyno. My son has a supercharged mustang and he saw a 50 hp increase.

I would have to be skeptical of that claim with just a cold air and Borlas. Is this the same shop that tuned the Mustang? Most good tuners tune either Ford or Chevy, not both.

No they are two different shops. Not sure if I said it correctly but he said combined with the dyno, I could see a 30 HP difference. We will see. Thanks
Call Julio at Cartek. They're in garwood n.j.. He is one of the best ls tuners in the country! He's tuned 3 cars for me, 2 bolt on and one heads/cam. Excellent results, period!

t's not all about the #...... Sure a blower car will make more from "just a tune"
Don't worry about what someone tells you you'll get at peak as that's not how you enjoy your car
and if you're up or down 10 hp you'll never know it.
What WILL make a difference is knowing the car is running PROPERLY during normal driving and WOT runs.
Tuning to achieve the best all around performance is what's best for you.... NOT a peak # someone quotes you.
Another big thing is the way the throttle responds to your input... Makes for lots of smiling happy customers.
