Default Input on drive shaft couplers.

So I need some advice. I'm doing a clutch swap and am planning on also replacing the drive shaft couplers, bearings and slinger. I've read pretty much every thread I can find on about couplers and I feel like I'm not anywhere closer to figuring out what to do. I bought a pair of prothane 6 shooters before finding the threads about them falling apart/exploding, and now I'm not sure if I should use them. I've read that it's mainly on cars that are road raced where there's heat build up. I've also read that the more rigid couplers cause increased bearing wear. My car is lightly modded 02 Z06, and will likely get cammed over the winter. I don't road race but I do like to go to the drag strip from time to time. Anyone using them with no problems? Should I send them back and get GM? Or maybe BMW? Can anyone give me some definitive answers? I would definitely appreciate it.

I bought a kit from RPM. BMW couplers. Exact same part as the GM. Just doesn't say GM on it.
I think the kit was around $400. Although I haven't installed it yet.

Go with GM or BMW couplers if it is really a basic bolt on daily driver.

I bought the bearings and bmw couplers from a bearing company for about $45 bucks. I can find the post numbers and company if interested.

The bmw couplers are great and as others have said same as gm. I've put mine through much abuse after my gm couplers disintegrated.

Just did this three weeks ago. I'll update my thread with PNs, prices, and how to this weekend.

bottom line I went with GM after reading posts about how the driveline works. Rubber was used to build in some flex into the driveline. There has to be some give somewhere, or the parts have to be engineered a lot firmer.

Solid couplers, in some people's opinion, should be used with strengthened driveline.

I added a write up for rebuild of a torque tube with references.

Those have to be made in China for $20. I Guess it's a dead giveaway when the item location says Hong Kong lol.
