Default Dual climate control issue, passenger side

It doesn't appear that my passenger side controls work on my 00` vette. It only adjusts to the driver's side control. I was just wondering what steps could I do to fix this and how much would it cost?

You do realize it will only change a few degrees different from the drivers side?

You set the temp with the driver's side control. Then you can rotate the passenger side up and down slightly for the passenger, but the display will not change, only the temp of the air coming out will change.

The change in temperature is very slight on the passenger side, it's more noticeable with cold air

That is as it should be.

Near as I can tell all the passenger side control does is regulate airflow through the vents on on that side.

So basically it's not as it appears. You can't have the driver side hot and the passenger cold; it's just a slight difference. Is that correct?

If I recall I read that drivers side locks out the temp at 60 or 90. Anything in between that allows pass side to adjust. The adjust is only about 8 degrees max. Of course this is what I think I remember reading years ago.

When the passenger side is set to the 12:00 (center) position, the driver's and passenger side are both set to the temp selected by the driver's side, then the passenger can vary their side slightly up and down if desired. (Unless the driver is set to full up or down (90 or 60), then the passenger will have no effect.
The display will not change with the passenger adjustment.
