It helps to know what you were doing. Looks like the fastener that goes on the back side of the passenger head in the lower bolt hole. It was for the harness. That is a guess but getting it off my head kicked my but when I swapped heads.

I took out the entire drivetrain, rebuilt/replaced seals on the differential, transmission, torque tube, installed new clutch, removed the entire interior, rebuilt the seats, replaced the audio system, removed the electrical harness from the engine to the rear of the car to spray lizard skin.
That said, it was with some exhaust components. I removed the headers, dipstick, plugs, plug wires, 02 sensors and some grounds when I did the clutch. It may be the exact part you say. I was thinking main wiring harness near the back of the engine, or down the TT tunnel.

that looks like the clip that goes on the diff housing and holds the wiring harness... there is a stud on the diff case that it fits over and is held on with a speed nut I believe
