I'm finishing up an install of American Racing 1 3/4" headers in my '02 C5 and I think that I'm better off without the O2 harness extensions. I was able to get what I THINK are perfectly good clearances from the headers without the extensions. Is this even possible without extensions? The headers are also coated with Swain Tech's white lightning ceramic coating which should in theory make clearances more forgiving. The routing along the tunnel was perfectly straightforward, simply using cable clamps and the tunnel bolts to hold the wires in the tunnel, above their stock locations. The question is, do I have the clearance near the collector and lower portion of the headers? Anyone know what the minimum safe clearance is for the wires/harnesses? Thanks!
The AR headers appear to be the headers XSPower knocked off and those have no problem with O2 wires without extensions so I wouldn't think you'd have an issue either.

Gotta love the Chinese and their copycat economy. My wife is American, but made from Chinese parts.
Still, strange that AR would include o2 extenstions in the kits when they're really not needed. It's not even a stretch of just barely making it with stock wires. Stock wires reached and fit perfectly. I bought the headers used and bought the extensions (new) from another member here. Seems like wasted profits for AR to include them.
