I've seen the spec sheets but can't seem to find bell housing to engine. Torque tube to bell housing is 37 ft-lbs. Is the bell housing to engine the same?
Also, Having some difficulty getting the torque tube into the pilot bearing. Should the throw out bearing be in contact with the pressure plate fingers?
I think the front splined shaft would be in the pilot bearing before the t/bearing touches the fingers , not sure but open the bleeder and push the bearing back rearward as much as poss ??
Also could try turning the crank , might help line up the splines .
If you can get a jack and take the weight on the front end of the tq tube might help .
When its kinda in there ,its a bit difficult to see what the heck is going on eh, I try and get an equal gap all the way round the b/housing / rear block surface in the hope the shaft is going in as straight as poss.
Thanks. Got it in. Took some threadded rod to guide and pull it together. Went in without much resistance once we got the splines aligned. Front crandle and motor is on dollys and I think we had too much movement to play with to get things lined up.
