Assembled and installed a stroker LS in my 04 corvette. Running Mamo 215's, LSX102, NW 102 and Jesel adjustable shaft rockers. Started car on the 85mm MAF and it fired right up, 70psi oil pressure, but I'm getting a pop back into the intake manifold. I just started it up again after I backed off the shaft rocker adjuster to only one half turn from the rocker boss. Any closer with my luck I'd break a rocker body. My question is: How much shorter should I go on the pushrods? .050 or .100 Thanks
Assuming the wipe is correct, find out what the thread is on the adjuster screws. Not sure if they are SAE (3/8) vice metric. If you know how many turns you want to back off that will indicate the pushrod length change required since it is a direct measurement with the adjuster at the pushrod. I know the old Crane rockers used different pushrods for the GM heads vice the AFR's so you may need some adjustment.
Wipe is correct, slightly favors intake. I am going to remove the existing .055 hardened shim and double to .110. This will move the rocker tip slightly inboard, but should give me the necessary clearance to adjust lash. I did measure pushrod length with adjustable checkers, but don't want to go any shorter, if possible.

3/8 X 24; approximately .042 for every turn. I am hoping that shimming up the stands gives me the adjustment I need.
Just watch your valve cover clearance. I am running 0.125" shims under my Yella Terras and really had to clearance the valve covers include removal of the coil bracket blind hole bosses. Now I have to seal those bolts to keep the oil from leaking.

I fabricated a set of valve covers for the new engine, no issues with vertical clearance. I called Smith Bros. today; sending another set .100 shorter. This should move the roller tip slightly inboard, but I'll probably need to check pushrod clearance on the heads.
