Shift skip solenoid replace?
I am leaking some Trans fluid from my 2-3 skip shift solenoid on my manual transmission 2001 C5. It appears I may need to replace it and need to know the part number for the solenoid.
Of course, like most, I would prefer to disable this solenoid but I do not believe it will fix the leak.
When my 1-4 light comes on it keeps me from going to 2nd but does not stop me from going to 3rd. Is this normal or is this a defect?

find the correct thread and bolt size and install a plug, then buy a skip shift eliminator for the computer side
would be cheaper, fix your problem, and get rid of the 1-4 lockout

Sorry to hijack, I have the skip shift eliminator for the computer side, how would one bolt something in there so it doesn't leak? I don't like the 1-4 skip.
